June 29th, 2012
Congratulations to Dan’s Comp team riders Chad Kerley and Dakota Roche for making the podium in BMX Street at the X Games in LA tonight. Chad took the silver medal for second and Dak got third for the bronze! Yeah dudes! The look on Dak’s face says it all–stoked! More coverage as it unfolds…
Dan’s Comp team rider Trey Jones goes fast, blasts high and handles his bizness in the latest Vital/Dan’s Comp team edit. Trey marches to the beat of his own punk rock drummer and we like him just the way he is! If you can make your way to Southern Indiana, Trey will be at Dan’s Comp on Saturday, July 7th as part of the Shadow X Vans Demo (flyer below the video)!
warming up for the X games…
June 29th, 2012
Here are two drastically different “X Games Warm Up” edits. One, from the Cultsite, features Dan’s Comp/Cult shredder Dakota Roche and his Cult Crew bros in action on the X Games course in LA. The other, taken from The Come Up, features Chad Kerley riding and goofing off on the street. Chad’s riding is incredible where ever he is, in case you had any doubts!
dan’s comp team at the X games!
June 29th, 2012
It’s time for the X Games and Dan’s Comp is well represented in BMX Street with team riders Chad Kerley, Dakota Roche and Stevie Churchill. Chad and Stevie are first timers this year (Chad was an alternate last year, but Stevie got the official invite last month) while Dak has been in the X Games mix for the last couple of years. The course looks awesome and the dudes are already slaying it! Check your TV listings and make sure not to miss tonight’s event!

Stevie wasted no time unleashing his fury on the X Games course! Bar-spin 180.

tony neyer in verde out east edit!
June 28th, 2012
There have been some teaser edits leading up to this, but this is the big show for the recent Verde Out East trip. Dan’s Comp/Verde team rider Tony Neyer is a key player in this awesome edit and he puts in work (and takes a beating in the process), along with Verde dudes Drew York, Dave Thompson (Thomas?) and Biz Jordan.
The Vital Gear Guide just keeps getting better! The latest offering features the Stolen Thermalite SP pedals, which feature plastic bodies and replaceable metal pins for lightweight, non-slip pedaling. Next up, we get the rundown on the Ipath Icon XL shoes with the super durable Vibram soles (available next month!). Dan’s Comp team rider Shane Weston is on the Ipath team roster as well, so we get some nice riding clips of him (including a close call with traffic!). The big ticket feature for this Gear Guide is the new Cult Match front and rear cassette wheels, and includes a bonus riding clip of Dan’s Comp team legend and Cult leader Robbie Morales! The Match wheels are dialed, good looking, and available now at Dan’s Comp in front or rear.

chad kerley interview on espn site
June 26th, 2012
Dan’s Comp team rider Chad Kerley has risen to the top of the heap of modern street and park riders in the last year or so, but his riding abilities date much further back. In this new ESPN feature, Rad Chad gives us some thorough insight into his racing roots and how it applies to his riding now: “I took a different route,” says Chad in the interview. “Being able to control my bike from racing helped me with riding street, and I started to learn more on street. I was more comfortable learning smaller and technical tricks, and that just progressed over the years.” Read the rest of the interview here, and check out the new edit while you’re at it. Chad will be riding in the X games starting next week!
For a pro BMX rider, getting a signature part is a huge accomplishment. Dan’s Comp team rider Shane Weston celebrates this landmark event with an edit to showcase his new signature Moon Grip from Eclat. The Moon Grip features a unique, tapered “hourglass” shape to give this flangeless grip a similar feel to a flanged grip, so you know where your hands are without looking. As a bonus, this edit was filmed by Shane’s Eclat/Dan’s team mate Nathan Williams!
Over the next four minutes, you can do just that–Dan’s Comp team rider Brett Banasiewicz takes us through a typical day of running errands, eating lunch, mudslingin’ on dirt bikes and of course, a heated session at The Kitchen skatepark in South Bend, Indiana. Go Maddog!
