The Kitchen grand opening edit

Saturday was the grand opening of The Kitchen BMX Skatepark and it was a rowdy time.   This edit features  park overlord Brett Bansiewicz, park designer Glenn Salyers, park builders Rob Armour and Chris Gerber, as well as Brett’s Dan’s Comp team mates Ben Hucke and Hoang Tran in action.  There are other ripper friends in the mix as well.  In the words of Ben “Brett definitely owns the park.”.  Figuratively and literally.

Check out the park at The Kitchen Skatepark.

aLMOND AUSTIN TOUR EDIT

Here’s a nicely done piece from the Almond crew, documenting an Austin, TX trip from this past winter.  In it, you’ll see Dan’s Comp team rider Ben Hucke, Shane Weston and Jared Washington doin’ the do to a mellow soundtrack as well as a slice of Austin city life.

Check out Almond shoes at Dan’s Comp.

matt wilhelm’s flatland perspective

This GoPro edit from Dan’s Comp team flatland rider Matt Wilhelm gives a very real look at what goes on in  pro-level flatland riding.   Matt’s riding is incredible, and this is about as close as you can get to going along for the ride.

Check out the GoPro Helmet Hero video camera from Dan’s Comp.

Grand Opening of the kitchen bmx skatepark

Dan’s Comp teen sensation Brett Banasiewicz’s new “BMX Skatepark”, The Kitchen, had its Grand Opening on Saturday in South Bend, Indiana.  Over 250 riders/skaters and hundreds of spectators turned out to see what this place was all about.

That’s Brett cutting the ribbon with the South Bend chief of police.  Official business!

Dan’s Comp is an official sponsor of The Kitchen.  Brett getting ready to get to it.

Ben Hucke and Hoang Tran came out to ride the park and meet the riders.   Dudes were stoked!

Ben with a nac nac up the “small” side of the giant step up.   PS–there’s nothing small about it.

Hoang chose to 180 up it.  Keep in mind the step-up part of this is six feet tall and he’s going this much higher above it.

Here’s Chris Gerber 360ing down the monster step-gap.   Not one for the timid.

The “make it happen” guys, Bill and Brett Banasiewicz.

Look for more coverage from The Kitchen soon!
